1. What is Unsaid Planners?

Unsaid Planners™ are gentle, practical tools designed to help you organise important information, capture your wishes, and navigate life’s more difficult moments — before and after death. We create and sell stationery planners, notebooks and related products designed to help you and loved ones feel more organised when life unexpectedly becomes difficult.

2. How do I know which planner is right for me?

Our products are designed to help you and your loved ones through each phase of life and the end of life transition.

Our three collections capture the essentials needed anytime before death, after death and the need for families and loved ones to stay connected together, through difficult seasons of life.

• Unsaid: Before → for you, planning ahead and recording your wishes
• Unsaid: After → for those left behind, managing tasks after someone has died
• Unsaid: Together → for support, organisation, and connection (coming soon)

If you’re unsure, we suggest bundling a planner from the Before collection as it is for anyone who wants to capture the important and often unsaid details that will be needed later on, and the After collection to have on hand as a gentle guide for loved ones when you’re gone — there’s no wrong place to begin.

3. Do I need any legal knowledge to use these?

Not at all. These tools are designed by a lawyer with ADHD who understands the need for simplicity in times of emotional stress.

Our aim is that all of our products are easy to follow, even if you’ve never dealt with estate matters before. They’re also thoughtfully designed to be accessible, inclusive, and reassuring.

4. Are these planners legal documents?

No. Unsaid Planners™ are not legal documents and do not replace formal legal advice or documents such as a Will.

They are designed to help you organise the required and essential information and feel more prepared. You should take them to your Probate or Estate Planning lawyer, as a guide for them to easily have the information they need to prepare your Will, Power of Attorney and other estate planning documents.

5. Is this legal advice?

No. While Unsaid Planners™ are informed by legal experience, they are not legal advice nor are they to be relied upon as such. Please seek independent legal or financial advice for your personal situation.

We hope to provide referral links to our trusted wills and estate specialists in your state or territory in the very near future.

6. Who created Unsaid Planners?

Unsaid Planners™ was created by a local Canberra-based wills and estates lawyer. It draws on both her professional knowledge from decades of working as legal secretary and paralegal in boutique and top tier law firms prior to her admission as a lawyer in 2018, and her personal experience as an Executor of a Will. It was created to fill the gap that wasn’t there when she needed it most, navigating grief while doing her best to manage estate administration. It is hoped that our products will also help you through difficult times.

7. What if I feel overwhelmed and don’t know where to start?

That’s completely okay. These tools are designed to be used at your own pace — even filling in one small section is a meaningful step forward.

8. Do I have to complete everything?

No. You can use as much or as little of each planner as feels right for you. The more you add, the less guesswork for those who need it. Anything that you write will help those left behind to navigate your estate. 

Our Before planners have a space to initial and write the date as you complete a page, so you can refer back to when you wrote it, or update it as things change. This feature is intentional and can help others understand when you wrote things and can also be helpful down the track if capacity is questioned.

9. Is this a physical product or a digital download?

Some products are digital downloads, and some are physical. 

Each product listing clearly states what you will receive before purchase. 

We understand the need for immediate assistance when faced with a death, so we offer digital downloads to be available for you use or to print at home. All digital downloadable files are in standard PDF format, suitable for most devices, including mobiles.

If unsure, which option is right for you, please contact us. With digital downloads, no refund is available for change of mind, due to your instant access to the product after purchase.

10. How do digital downloads work?

After purchase, you’ll receive a email from us with a link to securely download and save your PDF file immediately.

You can then print it at home or use it digitally. Please check your email address is correct and accessible before you purchase a digital download.

11. Can I print the digital planner multiple times?

Yes — for personal use only, you can print your planner as many times as you need.

Gentle reminder: We kindly ask that after your purchase you don’t forward our products widely for others to use as their own - we are a small female-led start up business and our growth in these early days depends on your kind support in purchasing our products. Please send others to our website where they can purchase their own digital products.

If you or someone you know need one of our products but cannot afford it, please send us an email to hello@unsaidplanners.com.au and we’ll work something out. We believe money shouldn’t be a barrier to accessing helpful tools in times of need.

🚚 Shipping

12. Do you ship Australia-wide?

Yes, our physical products are shipped within Australia by Australia Post (regular or express post). Shipping details and timeframes are provided at checkout and Australia Post tracking details are provided so you can track your order. 

Regular post and express post delivery options are available. At this stage, no local pickup is available, but please contact us by email if you require delivery - only available in the ACT.
